Project essentials
The project
This project aims to reintroduce Ribbed Limpet within three target Ligurian Marine Protected Areas, where extinction causes have been eliminated and appropriate protection is assured.
Ribbed limpet
Ribbed Limpet, is a gastropod belonging to the family Patellidae. It is considered one of the main marine invertebrates at risk of extinction in the whole Mediterranean.
The consortium
The Consortium is composed by experts in conservation, study and research, communication and dissemination, information technology and digital communication.
Natura 2000
This project contributes to the conservation and protection of habitats belonging to the Natura 2000 network, set up under the Habitats Directive 92/43 / EEC.
